Abercrombie, William Warner

DANFS: USS Abercrombie (DE-343), details the event for which Abercrombie was awarded a Navy Cross and a share of VT-8's Presidential Unit Citation, posthumously.  The USS Abercrombie was named for him and was llaunched on 14 January 1944
