Reminiscences of George Edward Marshall's childhood in Will Couty, Illinois, together with his observations of his life and times. Several appendices, including geneology of the Marshalls; George Marshall letter dated 1850; Newspaper articles pertaining to various family members; and final chapter of an ancestor's book regarding 4 brothers' reunion after the Civil War.

Written at his home in Medford after 1907, unfinished work begun in 1921
