The Negro's Victory

Medford Mail Tribune clipping 7 July 1910 p. 4 editorial condemning the "sport" of boxing and saying that it is an activity that only men of color should be engaged in because it is brutal and barbaric and corrupt. Jeffries -Johnson fight. "The simple minded negro will regard Johnson's victory ... and there will be many a dead negro and many a race riot before it is over."
