Jeremy Curtis has never seen the Chateau operational because it had closed to the public for major repairs when he became superintendent in 2018. The lodge was built during the great depression in the 30's, but had to be closed because of disrepair. The National Park Service hopes to have renovations completed by spring of 2025.
