2. Jackson County Jail Overcrowded with Inmates Facing serious charges

Jackson County Jail Overcrowded with Inmates Facing serious charges

Covid-19 safety restrictions slowed down the courts have left the Jackson County Jail packed with defendants charged with serious crimes such as murder and sexual abuse.  Oregon's Public Defender System is deficient, and an outdated undersized jail is continuously overcrowded.
