In 1928 Polk Hull lived in Griffin Creek with his son. both men were widowers. He was born in 1844, and served in the Civil War with 6 other Hull men. He was wounded in the Civil War, but he and his bride slowly made his way to Stockton, California, and then to the Rogue Valley. Although he was a weaver during much of his life, he ended up a dairy farmer.
