Elinor Hanley Bush was the second youngest child of six children of M. F. Hanley. After her parents passed, she traveled with her brother Ed and she later met Harry Bush who was and engineer eventually employed by a South American mining company. They were married in South America and the bride made an apple pie for one of her wedding dinners. One of the Americans at that dinner had not had any American food for 32 years, and the memory of home cooked food brought him to tears. There are interesting stories of Elinor in this article.
