From MMT, November 1927: Sheriff Jennings questioned several suspects for Tom Nakano's death at 5 am on South Front Street. Mr. Nakano was about to open his restaurant when he was shot twice by persons unknown. A bullet severed an artery in his leg and he bled to death. The motive might have been robbery, but the victim still had a money bag of $92.
