Helicopter crashed September 3, 1972--one fatality
The fireworks stand must be that operated by the Leavens brothers (John, Bob, Bill and Jim) at 610 South Oakdale Ave., shut down by the city for operating in a residential zone, after having been operated annually for ten years. See Medford Mail Tribune, July 3, 1968, page 1
