"Plans for what will be the biggest and best building ($18,000) in Ashland are being drawn by Architect Frank C. Clark, and construction will be started in Spring of 1904. The building will be of brick and will have a frontage of 100' and a depth of 80' and will be three stories in height. The lower story will be devoted to mercantile purposes, and the two stories above will be used as a lodging apartment house. It's cost will be $18,000. Mr Clark says he is not at liberty to give the location of the block or the names of the capitalists who will build it . . ."
