Jackson, Glenn L.

Frequently labeled the "most powerful man in Oregon", Glenn Jackson's "greatest legacy will be his contributions to the many Oregonians who never knew him but whose lives were made better because Glenn Jackson lived" (eulogy by Oregon Governor Vic Atiyeh). Mr. Jackson was closely identified with Pacific Power & Light Co,, but he was also a rancher, golf course developer, commuter airline chairman, and newspaper owner. He served on numerous boards and committees in business, government and for non-profit organisations. Glenn Jackson entered the military in 1941 and rose to the rank of Colonel in tthe Air Force serving in England and Italy during World War II.
