There is no "Bend" Entrance designated as such, but likely indicates that the group came by way of the old East Entrance to the park, which was relatively close to The Dalles- California highway alignment when it went over Sun Pass. Few visitors would have dared use the more rugged Diamond Lake Auto Trail (which went from near the North Junction area today to north boundary of the park) in 1921, especially with small children.
