Little Pilot Rock
The ridge between the head of Dry Creek and Hutton Creek rises, or bulges up into a backbone of almost solid rock. The high place in the ridge was named Little Pilot Rock, and is about two a.nd a half miles south of the State Line. I suppose it was named after Pilot Rock, which is to the north, and was sometimes called Big Pilot Rock. The name is a little confusing because on the Oregon side of the border there is a point of rocks that is also called Little Pilot Rock.
