McHenry's homestead
Grant McHenry was the blacksmith in Hornbrook before he locatĀ ed his homestead, about 1915, in the upper part of the Dry Creek area, south of Little Pilot Rock, and on the California side of the border.
Mc Henry was in the cattle business on his homestead until his advanced age caused him to se+l several years ago. While he lived on his homestead he still did some horse-shoeing and blacksmithing along with his ranch work.
He was among the best of the old time blacksmiths.
