MMT article 1-17-1935, The Oregon Lime Products company has been operating on a quarry on Williams creek between Williams and Provolt. The quarry was originally discovered and operated by Al Jones, who carved the pure white marble into tombstones. He sold to a sugar beet company in Grants Pass who used the limestone in the purification of sugar.
