Neil, R. P. stands near the construction site of Crater Lake Lodge in 1909. Nearest him is the kitchen wing, where food was prepared for the visitors staying nearby tents, usually rented from the park's concessioner. The stone walls for the lodge's ground floor are temporarily braced with wooden props.
