This home was originally built as Medford's second school in 1884. When it was replaced in 1891, the building was moved to its current location and converted to a residence. A. A. Davis was listed as its first owner, although in 1896 an article mentioned that it was owned by Prof. N. L. Narregan and occupied by Merchant W. B. Stevens. The home was restored in 1976 (see 123 years' search for community, 979.527 N48, p. 170, for more information). As of 2015, the building is owned by the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
